O ansalblu:
Kulturno-umjetničko društvo „Zahumlje“ – Nikšić je osnovano je 1898. godine. U
početku to je bilo pjevačko društvo iz kojeg su se ubrzo razvile i druge sekcije – dramska,
muzička, folklorna, recitatorska itd. Kroz „Zahumlje“ je za preko vijek postojanja kroz sve sekcije i
segmente rada prošlo preko 8000 članova, svih uzrasta i interesovanja. Prenoseći kulturnu
tradiciju sa generacije na generaciju „Zahumlje“je sa svojim programima afirmisalo kulturnoumjetnički
izraz Balkanskih prostora širom svijeta, čuvajući crnogorsko nasljeđe od zaborava.
Cultural and artistic association “Zahumlje” – Nikšić has been founded in 1898. In the
beginning, it was a singing society from which other sections soon developed – drama, music,
folklore, recitation, etc. Over 8,000 members, of all ages and interests, have passed through
“Zahumlje” over the course of its existence through all sections and segments of work.
Transmitting cultural tradition from generation to generation, “Zahumlje” with its programs
afirmed the cultural and artistic expression of the Balkans around the world, preserving the
Montenegrin heritage from oblivion.
